Abstract

The field notes and loose notes document Bohumil Shimek's work in Iowa, Nebraska, August 13 - September 6, 1918. Some pages are tabbed. Entries are dated and describe weather, terrain, lists of plants seen at locations (along railroads), photographs taken (numbered with descriptions), work with colleagues, hand drawn maps of locations observed, and shell collecting. Locations include vicinity of Earlham, Shelby county, Iowa; Wilbur, Nebraska; Mason City, (state unknown).
