Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 4 June to 31 July 1947 in various locations within the Peru. Collector numbers 27659 – 28322 are included. Occasionally, notes become long and narrative, and will sometimes include general descriptions of area vegetation. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, and sometimes physical description of the specimen that includes its measurements, color, and other information. Localities include but are not limited to Zarumilla, Piura, Cajamarca, Rio Santa Rosa, Las cascadas de Barranco, and La Culebra. Three specimen labels (with coordinate information, occurrence, date, and description) are inserted between pages 2 and 3. More specimen labels are also found on pages 25, 72, and 192.
