Abstract

The field notes and diary document Bohumil Shimek's work in Iowa, South Dakota, May 12, 1912 - August 13, 1913. Pages are tabbed. Entries are entered from the back and front of the notebook. Entries are dated and describe readings at Lake Okoboji, lists of plants from areas (headed with type of terrain), descriptions of banks of the lake and cuts into terrain along railroads, daily activities,and list of expenses. Contains hand drawn maps. Some notes are crossed out.
