Abstract

The botanical notebook (5 of 6) documents Bohumil Shimek's work in Nicaragua, 1892-1893. Entries cover collected phanerogams (1-12). Each is headed with specimen number and includes type of plant and description with size (measurements), color, and appearance. These are organized by part of plant, focusing on the leaves and flowers. Includes illustrations with notes. Locations include vicinity of Greytown [San Juan del Norte].
