Abstract

An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities in each state. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 25 May 1941 to 1 September 1942 in Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, Delaware, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, and sometimes a brief physical description of the specimen and sex of inflorescence. 129 pages of notes. Correspondence from Fosberg to D. Frans Verdoorn and from Fosberg to Mr. Alfred B. Carr are inserted at the beginning of the book.
