Abstract

The first part of this notebook contains a list of specimens by common name that includes measurements of their length, tail, bill, and feet (dated February 26, 1874-May 10, 1875). The list also includes description of color and sex of specimen. This list is followed by lists of mammals and birds (dated 1974), followed by a list of birds seen each day from March 5, 1874-July 4, 1874. These lists are followed by narrative notes on roosting of Chaetura pelogica in a chimney at Fishkill. Another list of birds with measurements follows, along with other miscellaneous notes and lists including one entitled "Birds and eggs wanted in exchange by Mr. Breese" and another entitled "Birds sent to Mr. Roome".
