Abstract

Notes on botany specimens document Bohumil Shimek's observations in Nebraska, May 3 -10 and August 30, 1890. Entries are dated and details include descriptions of locations visited, birds observed, nests (numbered, quantity of eggs, location in environment, construction, materials, surrounding vegetation), plants described by part (leaves, roots, flower), sketches of plants. Much of the notebook is blank. Locations are in the vicinity of Lincoln, Nebraska.
