Abstract

This journal contains notes on Bartsch's field research on snails and birds in the Bahamas from 18 May to 1 June 1921. Lists of birds seen are included throughout the journal. Most of Bartsch's notes pertain to visits he made to Cerion (a genus of snail) colonies at various locations. Sketches of maps are included. Locations include but are not limited to Sandy Cay (currently Finley Cay or Ocean Cay), Mangrove Cay, and West End. Miscellaneous notes on the last page.
