Abstract

This includes notebooks with travel expenses, receipts, and calling cards and addresses documenting Alexander Wetmore's time collecting in Porto Rico [Puerto Rico], 1911-1912 for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Bureau of Biological Survey. Five notebooks listing expenses were provided by the USDA, and reside in an archival envelope. Most expenses relate to room, board, supplies, hired labor, and travel. Travel specifies destination and mode of travel. Listings were usually entered several times are week. Cards and addresses reside in a second archival envelope. Some include only the person's name, others include information identifying the person, Wetmore's relationship with them, or contact information.
