Abstract

This journal contains notes on Bartsch's field research in the Florida Keys from 28 December 1919 to 22 January 1920. During this trip, Bartsch collected snails and made observations at cerion (genus of snail) colonies he planted and observes and collects bird specimens. Lists of birds with quantities are included throughout the journal. Journal entries focus on both Bartsch's work with snails and birds. Notes for cerion colonies a-f and k-m, some of which include data tables for some colonies with measurements, are included. Notes on new colonies O-S are also included. Locations include but are not limited to Dry Tortugas, Boca Grand Key, Loggerhead Key, Garden Key, and Duck Key.
