Abstract

10 black-and-white photographs document Edmund Heller's field work during the American Museum of Natural History China Expedition,1916-1917. Includes prints of various activities of Asian peoples including encounters with expedition, including candid images of local inhabitants at work alongside a river in town, some with watercraft, portrait of two inhabitants in countryside in front of mountain range, and individuals farming.
