The collection includes official and departmental correspondence and catalogs discussing: grants of access, specimens collected, inspection of bird stomachs, financial arrangements, cause of plague outbreak (as to carrier source of plague fleas, i.e. bats, rodents, mongoose), communication with Quarantine Officer of Puerto Rico; and controlling Lachnosterna population on island. Some correspondence is in Spanish. |Includes a catalog of reptiles and batrachians collected 1911-1912 (numbered 3-31, scientific name, collecting site (in Puerto Rico, date, and a space for additional location information like elevation).
