Abstract

This journal contains notes on Bartsch's research on birds observed or collected in the Florida Keys from 31 August to 8 September 1923. Journal notes provide narrative description of daily events including birds observed. Following the journal is a list of bird specimens, one specimen per page, including notes on commonality, date, and location. Locations include but are not limited to Tortugas, Long Key, Key West, Loggerhead Key, and Garden Key. “Specimens from Charles Johnson, Dry Tortugas” (February to March 1923) typed and copied, are included at the end.
