Abstract

This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 11 June to 31 August 1960 on Borro Colorado Island in Panama. All collecting was done along the Snyder Malino Trail. Collector numbers 1-1145 are included. Some frequently collected plants include Piperaceae (pepper family), Ferns, Asteraceae or Compositae (aster, daisy, or sunflower), Araceae (Arum family), and Rubicaceae. Included in the list of specimens is the taxonomic name of the specimen and a brief physical description often including measurements and color. A note about a xeroxed copy at MO (probably Missouri Botanic Garden) signed by Walker Lewis, 1965, is affixed to the cover verso. The note "grasses Identified by Dr. T. R. Soderstrom, U.S.N.H. Summer 1961” is written on the verso of the title page.
