Abstract

This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected in Martinique and Guadeloupe from 1879 to 1892. Collectors numbers 1513-2967 are included, but only a few collector numbers were used. Also included is the US National Herbarium number. Specimens are listed by their taxonomic name and accompanied by notes on location, altitude, rarity or abundance, and brief physical description. Notes are in French. Localities include Pitons-du-carbet (Martinique) and the Guadeloupe localities Basse Terre, Les Abymes, Le Moule, and Trois Rivières. Most specimens collected were from the genera cordia and podocarpus.
