Abstract

The 23 black-and-white photographs were taken during the National Geographic Society Yale University Peruvian Expedition, 1915. There are numbers and descriptions on the reserve side of some images. Subject matter includes candid images of Machigangas Indians around residential(?) structures, birds observed, specimens collected including Santos (participant) demonstrating size of a collected snake, and a howler monkey and other primates. No negatives. There is a list of image numbers and descriptions with photographs. Locations include the region of La Montaña, Peru.
