Abstract

The 28 black-and-white photographs were taken during the National Geographic Society Yale University Peruvian Expedition, 1915. No negatives. There are descriptions on the reverse side including types of specimens, sex, and photograph number. Subject matter includes local guides with specimens of vicugnas collected, detail images of specimens, vistas of terrain, and tents at the campsite (in snow). Locations include La Raya Pass [Abra La Raya], Huanaco, and Puno, Peru.
