Abstract

The black-and-white photographs document Edmund Heller's collecting in Africa. Prints of African individuals and groups at Kakumega [Kakamega], British East Africa [Kenya]. Subject matter includes local inhabitants working, including agricultural work, herding cattle, and interactions at expedition camps. For negatives, see Folder 45. Copy of note indicates images come from Rainey African Expedition, 1911-1912.
