Abstract

The black-and-white photographs document Edmund Heller's collecting in Africa. Subject matter includes camps, participants, hired local inhabitants, and expedition activities of the Rainey African Expedition, 1911-1912. For negatives, see Folder 41. There are descriptions on the reverse side, including some identified vegetation in surrounding environment. Locations include Nawasha Plains, Rumathe, and Lololoki, British East Africa [Kenya].
