Abstract

The notebook has data on skins of specimens, recorded by Edmund Heller during the RAINEY AFRICAN EXPEDITION, 1911-1912. Information includes specimen number, type (with scientific or common name), date, sex, sometimes age, and a series of unidentified numbers. Some entries may include initials of collector. Lists a variety of mammals including hyenas, zebras, and impalas. Some locations appear to be specified, but several are not legible. Locations include Loita plains, Mount Lololokwi, Kapiti Plains [Ilkaputiei], and Nairobi, Kenya; and Nyunguori(?).
