Abstract

The field notes (4 of 4) document behavioral observations of Coraciiformes (kingfishers) by M. Moynihan, September 22, 1985 - September 20, 1989. Pages are numbered. Entries are dated and headed with location, sometimes with type. They describe behavior, appearance, interactions, and vocalizations of individuals and groups of the birds. Information includes time of day, weather, habitat, location in habitat, sex, movement, phonetic descriptions of bird calls, types of birds. Includes sketches of birds. Locations include Dakar, Zuiginchor, Mbour, Samatit, Cap Skirring,and Tambacounda, Senegal.
