Abstract

The field notes (3 of 4) document behavioral observations of Coraciiformes (kingfishers) by M. Moynihan, December 17, 1976 - June 18, 1981. Entries are dated and headed with location. Pages are numbered. Entries describe behavior, appearance, interactions, and vocalizations of individuals and groups of the birds. Information includes time of day, weather, habitat, location in habitat, sex, types of movement, phonetic descriptions of bird calls, and types of birds. Locations include Nimba, Liberia; Mbour and Ziguinchor, Senega; and Makokou, Gabon.
