Abstract

The field notes (2 of 4) document behavioral observations of Coraciiformes (kingfishers) by M. Moynihan, October 17 - December 19, 1976. Entries are dated and headed with location. Pages are numbered. Observations detail appearance, behavior, interactions, and vocalizations of individual and groups of birds. Includes time of day, types of birds observed, daily work, habitat, birds' positions in habitat, weather, movement, and sex. Comments and notes are broken out in the entries. Locations include Mbour, Dakar, and Ziguinchor, and Oussouye, Senegal.
