Abstract

The notes of M. Moynihan document his behavioral observations of Coraciiformes (kingfishers), 1979-1990. Entries are headed with date and location. Observations describe behavior, appearance, and vocalizations of birds (kingfishers). Also describes time of day, weather, habitat, references to colleagues, and sex of birds observed. Pages are numbered as a whole as well as within journal entries. Includes illustrations of birds. Locations include Front Royal, Virginia; Jakarta, Indonesia; Yogya (possibly Indonesia); Kuala Selangor, Malaysia; Singapore; Guam; Palau; Shanghai and Kunming, China; Tamil Nadu, Bharatpur, and Cochin, India; Royal Chitwan National Park, Nepal; and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
