Abstract

This field book contains field notes of collections Stelfox made from 18 September 1932 to 25 December 1933 in Ireland. Most specimens collected were insects, primarily hymenoptera. Other types of specimens may have been collected. Stelfox lists the name of the specimen, date collected, sex, quantity, sometimes remarks on the weather, location, sometimes specific type of environment, sometimes remarks about which specimens he would like to collect, sometimes additional information. Localities include, but are not limited to Bundoran, Glenealy (currently Gleann Fhaidhle), Kilcullen, Deer Park, Athdown, and Killorglin. 'R.C.L.P' following a name signifies that specimen were seen and verified by D. R. C. L. Perkins, F.R.S. Pressed plant is included on page 177.
