Abstract

The map of Sand Island was used by and includes notations of M. Moynihan documenting his observations of birds of the Hawaiian Islands. Notes are undated, but map was dated 1955. The map includes notes about types of birds observed, and their locations as well as that of towers on the island. Birds listed include Grey-backed Terns, White Noddies, Brown Noddies, and Black Noddies.
