Abstract

This is 1 of 2 folders of M. Moynihan's observations of mixed flocks, 1958-1964. Pages are numbered. Entries are headed with location, date, and type. Observations describe appearance, behavior, interactions, and calls of individual and groupings of birds. Includes sex, time of day, environment, elevation, and a list of attempted copulations. There are illustrations of birds and notations indicated by color and pattern. Locations include Bronx Zoo; Cerro Punta, Cerro Campana, Barro Colorado, Arraiján, Panama; Unduavi, Bolivia; Pichincha, Ecuador; Tarma and Iquitos, Peru.
