Abstract

The notes are the observations of M. Moynihan of Piranga (Flame-colored Tanager), 1958-1962. Pages are numbered. Entries include date, location, and type. Observations describe appearance, behavior, and calls of birds in the wild. Additionally lists sex, time of day, observations of individuals and pairs, location in their environment, and behavior during feeding, copulation, and nest-building. Includes illustrations of birds and notations indicated by pattern and color. Locations include Barro Colorado Island, Cerro Campana, Cerro Punta, Panama.
