Abstract

The notes document M. Moynihan's observations of Tinamus major birds (Great tinamou), February - August, 1960. Pages are numbered. Entries are headed with date, location, and type. Entries describe extended observations of behavior, appearance, and bird calls of wild and captive birds, their young, with referenced to time of day and time of hatching, comparisons to birds raised in captivity, behavior during feeding.
