Abstract

The second of two notebooks (volume II) documents Thomas Vaughan's observations in Mexico, November 15 - December 18, 1920. Pages are numbered. Includes a pasted insert, a new clipping in Spanish. Dated entries include travel, individuals with whom he met, daily activities with time of day, sketches of mountain ranges and specimens, sections with notes (description of color, composition, and height of layers), fossil specimens collected (numbered), and descriptions of formations and terrain. Locations in Mexico include Tampico, Isla del Burros, valley of Los Naranjos, Potrero del Llano, and El Abra.
