Abstract

This volume contains notes taken by Harbison in Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi from 22 July to 18 September 1902. Collector numbers 6600-6920 are included. Harbison collects a wide variety of plants. One frequently collected genus includes crataegus, a member of the rose family. Locations include but are not limited to Clay County (AL), Talladiga County (AL), Lee County (AL), Chambers County (AL), Bristol (FL), River Junction (FL), and Columbia (MS). Some collector numbers are followed by an "equals" symbol (=) and another number (ex. 6760=6058/2). Harbison also includes name of specimen, and sometimes additional information such as measurements, abundance, when the specimen's flowers are in bloom, where the specimen is most common, soil description and a few words about the specimen's surrounding area.
