PrintThis volume contains notes taken by Harbison in Georgia, Florida, and possibly other southeastern states from 20 March to 9 April 1901. Collector numbers 4000-4099 are included. Harbison collects a wide variety of plants. One frequently collected genus includes crataegus, a member of the rose family. Locations include but are not limited to Columbia (GA), Liberty County (FL), Bristol (FL), Tallahassee (FL), and River Junction (FL). Some collector numbers are followed by an "equals" symbol (=) and another number (ex. 4091=B/2083). Harbison also includes name of specimen, and sometimes additional information such as measurements, abundance, (notes on parts of the tree for crataegus), soil description and a few words about the specimen's surrounding area.
