Abstract

The field book documents the field work of Thomas Vaughan on growth of corals, tiles 15, 24-49, at Tortugas Laboratory, Florida. Includes photographs of specimens, 1911-1915. Specimens were planted along the Ft. Jefferson dock. Specimens' size was observed over a period of years. Information included in notes list tile number, type of coral, photograph of the specimen, location description (including pier, road, geographical landmarks), dates and corresponding weight and measurements. Additionally, sometimes includes date tile was planted. Pages are numbered. There are notes on photographs.
