Abstract

Correspondence, reference materials, expense records, travel notes, and film notes document Wetmore's visit to the Canal Zone Biological Area and to collect bird specimens in Chepo and other parts of Panama, with the assistance of the military stationed at Albrook Field. He was assisted by Watson M. Perrygo. Correspondence also cover daily functions and issues of the Smithsonian Institution, primarily in the letters from Louise Pearson, his secretary.
