Abstract

This volume contains notes taken by Harbison in Tennessee, Mississippi, and possibly other states from 24 September to 4 October 1900. Collector numbers 3174-3256 are included. Harbison collects a wide variety of plants. One frequently collected genus includes crataegus, a member of the rose family. Locations include but are not limited to Columbus (MS) and Nashville (TN). Some collector numbers are followed by an "equals" symbol (=) and another number (ex. 3236=2128/3). Harbison also includes name of specimen, and sometimes additional information such as measurements, abundance, soil description and a few words about the specimen's surrounding area.
