Abstract

This volume contains notes taken by Harbison in Louisiana, Mississippi, and possibly other states from 11-22 September 1900. Collector numbers 3086-3173 are included. Harbison collects a wide variety of plants. One frequently collected genus includes crataegus, a member of the rose family. Locations include but are not limited to Opelouoas (LA), Hammond (LA), Jackson (MS), and Columbus (MS). Some collector numbers are followed by an "equals" symbol (=) and another number (ex. 3067=2073/2). Harbison also includes name of specimen, and sometimes additional information such as measurements, abundance, soil description and a few words about the specimen's surrounding area.
