Abstract

This is 1 of 16 folders of typed and hand written notes covering the observations of L. Walkinshaw in Florida and Michigan, 1972-1989. Often materials are headed with location and type of bird. Includes reports and published articles. In Florida includes observations of first birds observed for the year including species, quantity, location, county, and date; observations of Sandhill Cranes; list and descriptions of ponds observed; and descriptions of nests, contents, and parents including descriptions of habitat, vegetation and measurements. In Michigan covers nesting observations (in format and content as above), summary on observations of Acadian Flycatchers, Tables of observation data covers years 1957-1980, including bird band data species, date, age, sex, band number, weight, and measurements. Locations include the vicinity of Polk and Osecola county in Florida and Michigan counties, Calhoun, Muskegon, and Kalamazoo.
