Abstract

Number 6 in a series of 1903 botanical field notes. This volume contains notes taken in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and possibly other southeastern states from 9 September to 25 September 1903. Collector numbers 9082-9265 are included. Boynton collects a wide variety of plants. Locations include but are not limited to Leitchfield (KY), Bowling Green (KY), Horse Cave (KY), Big Stone Gap (VA), and Cumberland Gap (TN). Boynton also includes descriptions of the specimen, descriptions of the soil and soil type, commonality and abundance, measurements, descriptions of localities, and additional information.
