Abstract

The 3 field books document L. Walkinshaw's observations of birds in Michigan, January 1984- September 1989. The first notebook covers January 2, 1984 - September 19, 1986. Includes a variety of observations. Details include nests (measurements), eggs (quantity, measurements), environment, times of day, and bird counts. The second notebook covers April 17 1986 - September 24, 1989. Includes notes on nests (measurements and location in habitat), band numbers, and eggs. Locations include Baker Sanctuary in Calhoun county. The third notebook covers c. April 17 - June 27, 1985. Notes cover type of bird with measurements, weather, date. Includes a hand drawn map of observation site. Locations includes the counties of Chippewa, Betchler Lakes, Schoolcraft, Ingham.
