Abstract

The field notes document L. Walkinshaw's observations of birds in Michigan, 1982. Begins with notes of observations along the upper peninsula of Michigan during September with type of bird, date, and quantity; some lists are headed with county, weather, and month and followed with type, age, sex, band number, and measurement. Includes detailed observations of nests with type of bird and descriptions of environment and vegetation, parents (behavior), eggs (quantity), followed on with tables of data on a variety of birds. Locations include but are not limited to counties in Michigan: Ingham, Jackson, Schoolcraft, Muskegon, Roscommon, Oceana, Branch, Newaygo, and Chippewa.
