The field notes document the bird banding work of L. Walkinshaw completed in Michigan, 1973-1974. Includes first bird observation for Michigan listing number, date, type, quantity, locations (county, township, section or organization like sanctuary) April - October; data from Sandhill Crane trips (number, date, amount of time observed, time of day observed, miles walked, cranes observed, and location); Crane nests with location, nest number, quantity of eggs laid and hatched, and fledglings; detailed descriptions of birds nests with type of bird, location, nest (location, environment, measurements), parents (behavior), eggs (quantity, measurements, weight), fledglings, and fellow observers; and bird band data organized by type of bird with number, date, time, band number, weight, measurements. Ends with a summary of 1984 Kirtland's Warbler tour season. Some sections of the document have page numbers. Locations in Michigan include (but not limited to) Haehnle sanctuary, and the counties of Jackson, Chippewa, Oceana, Kalamazoo, Muskegon, Clinton, Washtenaw, Schoolcraft, Crawford, and Calhoun.
