Abstract

This is the second of 2 folders of field books documenting L. Walkinshaw's observations of birds in Michigan, 1986. Includes a notebook and loose notes. The notebook includes hand drawn maps of observation sites. Some entries are dated, and further contain location (property owner), give times of day of observations, and bird counts; others are tables of bird sightings when first seen for the year; majority of notes include a mixtures of observations and notes about bird nests with descriptions of eggs, parents, environment, vegetation, and measurements. Pages are numbered. Includes references to individuals with whom he observed. Locations include Haehnle Sanctuary and counties in Michigan (but not limited to) Shiawassee, Ingham, Calhoun, Mason, Crawford, Livingston, and Chippewa.
