Abstract

This is 1 of 2 folders including field notes, photographs and correspondence that document Walkinshaw's ornithological field work in Michigan, 1985. Includes a mix of bird counts (type, quantity, location, sometimes description of environment or condition); observations of birds' nests with dates and descriptions of vegetation, parents (appearance and behavior), eggs (quantity, measurements and characteristics); photographs of nests; diagrams of nest locations; and additional notes. Locations include but are not limited to counties in Michigan: Washtenaw, Jackson, Ingham, Shiawassee, Chippewa, and Newaygo.
