PrintNumber 3 in a series of 1903 botanical field notes. This volume contains notes taken in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and perhaps other southeastern states from 3-23 June 1903. Collector numbers 8383-8619 are included. Boynton collects a wide variety of plants. One frequently collected genus includes Asplenium, commonly known as spleenwort. Locations include but are not limited to White House (KY), Louisa (KY), Rockland (OH), Saint Albans (WV,) Charleston (WV), East Bank (WV), and Ganley Bridge (WV). Boynton also includes descriptions of the specimen, descriptions of the soil and soil type, commonality and abundance, descriptions of localities, and additional information.
