Abstract

Number 2 in a series of 1903 botanical field notes. This volume contains notes taken in Kentucky from 12 May 1903-2 June 1903. Collector numbers 8152-8382 are included. Boynton collects a wide variety of plants. Two frequently collected genera crataegus, in the rose family, and viola, in the violet family. Locations include but are not limited to Mount Vernon, Stanford, Valley View, Irvine, Beattyville, and Salt Lick. Boynton also includes descriptions of the specimen, descriptions of the soil and soil type, commonality and abundance, and additional information.
