Abstract

The field notes document observations of birds and their nest by L. Walkinshaw during 1930-1990. Some are typed and others hand written. Includes 2 tables of data on Sandhill Crane nests. Nests are numbered and data includes counties across Michigan, acre size of marsh, nest measurements, egg measurements, chick size, date, and "success". This is followed by notes from observations and measurements at Betchler Lakes, Kinross, Chippewa County, Michigan, during May 1980.
