Abstract

This unbound logbook is the daily log for Conrad cruise 12 from January 14, 1968 to June 06, 1969. Daily logs contain narrative summaries of the daily towing activities and samples, noting such information as environmental conditions, interesting specimen collected, and some times personal reflections. Coordinates are recorded sporadically from March onward. The first coordinate given is near Hawai'i. They sail to various points in the North and South Pacific Ocean. They also sail to the Coral Sea, the East China Sea (Tung Hai / Dong Hai), and the Philippine Sea. It is unclear whether Allan Be wrote these log notes or if these were written by a colleague of his.
