Abstract

The field notes document the behavioral observations of M. Moynihan of Anatidae (ducks), South America, Peru, Tierra del Fuego, etc., January 3 - December 12, 1956. The notes are dated and headed with location and type of bird. Pages are numbered. Entries include the description of individual and groups of birds and their appearance, behavior, and bird songs. Additional described bird characteristics include sex, type, and colors. Includes sketches of birds, and annotated content. Locations include but are not limited to the vicinity of Laguna el Peral, Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil), Viamonte (Tierra del Fuego), and Bahía Porvenir (Chile).
