Abstract

Paleontological and geological field notes of Carpel Leventhal Breger taken in Chautauqua County, New York. These notes are undated, although the years of creation are estimated to be sometime between 1880 and 1950 based on other dates referred to in the item and the creation dates of other items in the collection. This field book contains handwritten and typewritten notes. Brief descriptions of each locality are provided. Localities are divided into alphanumerically labeled sections, and list of fossils found in each section are included. Sections 517A4-1075Ab are included. Commonality of specimens is noted. Some locations include Westfield, Summerdale, Porter Creek, Brocton, and Dexterville.
