Abstract

This is the first of four folders of field notes documenting M. Moynihan's behavioral observations of Andean Birds in mixed flocks in Colombia, 1962-1965. Pages are numbered. Dated entries are headed with locations. Entries detail behaviors and appearances of individual and groups of birds with time of day, elevation, description of terrain. Includes comments and conclusions including effect of weather and other conditions on behavior. Illustrations of birds are throughout the text. Locations include the vicinity a variety of locations near Bogota and western Andes including Paramo le Negra, Guasca, Cerro Munchique, and Rio Urrao.
